Notable Books-2005-Boston-January 16,2005.

Each year the American Library Association Notable Books Council selects a list of good, readable and important fiction, non-fiction and poetry for the adult reader. The 2004 list included

  • The Inquisitor's Manual by Antonio Lobo Antunes.
  • Brownsville: Stories by Oscar Casares
  • Star of the Sea by Joseph O'Connor
  • Flat Broke with Children: Women in the Age of Welfare Reform by Sharon Hays
  • Triangle: The Fire that Changed America by David Von Drehle
  • Alabanza: New and Selected Poems by Martin Espada
The 2005 list will be announced in Boston on January 16, 2005 at 4:30pm at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in the Oval Room.
