Come and celebrate the most notable writing of our time with a panel of authors from the 2005 Notable Book Council's "List for America's Readers" at the American Library Association Conference on June 26. Scheduled to appear:
Acclaimed investigative journalist and Pulitzer Prize-winning Seymour M. Hersh, author of Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib;
Nathaniel Philbrick, the acclaimed author of Sea of Glory: America's Voyage of Discovery: The U.S. Exploring Expedition, 1838-1842 and the Director of the Egan Institute of Maritime Studies on Nantucket Island;
Noted poet and Langston Hughes Medal-winning Nikki Giovanni, The Collected Poetry of Nikki Giovanni, 1968-1998;
Mark Kurlansky, foreign correspondent, recipient of numerous books awards, author of 1968: The Year that Rocked the World;;
Poet Laureate of the United States, Ted Kooser, author of Delights and Shadows.
After breakfast, the authors will be available for book signings and conversations. Come join this not to be missed annual celebration of the best writing of our time. The last thirty minutes of the program are devoted to author signings.
